Welcome to “Mapping the Sustainability” our innovative Erasmus+ KA220-SCH Cooperation Partnerships in School Education project spanning 27 months! This transformative initiative centers around harnessing the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to cultivate a profound understanding of the environment and foster a sustainable future among students.
Throughout the project duration, we aim to nurture spatial and critical thinking skills, empowering students to gather, assess, and analyze data. By exploring diverse methods and evaluating their efficacy, participants will develop a robust foundation for decision-making and formulating recommendations.
Emphasizing the art of asking questions, we believe in instilling a problem-solving mindset at all levels of education. Join us on this exciting journey of exploration, discovery, and action towards a greener and more sustainable tomorrow.
The Project
“Mapping the Sustainability” is a visionary Erasmus+ KA220-SCH Cooperation Partnerships in School Education project spanning 27 months, aimed at revolutionizing education through collaborative small group work enhanced by technology.
Recognizing the efficacy of this approach in facilitating learning and achieving high results, our motivation is to create a sustainable product: a collection of GIS Problem-Based (PB) Lessons available in 5 different European languages. The overarching goal is to instill spatial thinking among students, emphasizing the interconnectedness of the environment.
Our vision extends beyond the classroom, viewing the school not as an isolated entity but as a dynamic space where young individuals learn to play an active role in the European Union.
The project promises tangible outcomes, including a comprehensive guide and digital atlas available in 5 EU languages, fostering new GIS and ICT skills, enhancing English proficiency, and establishing an informative project website.
The intangible benefits are equally significant, encompassing invaluable lessons for periods of distance education, innovative teaching and learning methodologies, transformative shifts in students’ attitudes, and profound insights that will manifest in the long run. To share our achievements and results, we will utilize the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform, ensuring widespread visibility and knowledge dissemination.
